Alan Yeats is our technical lead. Alan has had a passion for Virtual Reality since he first tried it and has now been part of multiple award winning VR projects. Having been studying games development since he left school at 16, he has since gained the necessary skills to lead him to join Digital sports Arena as an intern programmer. Here, at the mobile development studio based in Dundee, he helped with work on their multiplayer football simulation game GameDay Live. He built and developed tools which led to an increased improvement in their QA process. Alongside this he worked on developing gameplay mechanics working with languages and tools that he was quick to learn. Over the past year, he’s taken part and won multiple game jams, including the Moray Game Jam and Abertay’s Serious Game Jam. Additionally, he reached the semi-finals of the rising star competition 2016 completing with students to find the UKs best Game Development student. Alongside working on games, Alan took part in the IBM business challenges which put him against university students across the county where he also successfully managed to reach the semi-finals.
